Effective March 23, 2012, the U.S. Embassy and Consulates in Japan has implemented new visa application procedures. The visa applicant now needs to complete Form DS160 and pay the visa application fee first before making a visa appointment. The application fee now includes the cost of LetterPack 500 and can be paid by credit card. For details, please see Important Changes to NIV Application Procedures page.
